Method of Freedom is an experimental electronic music act originating from so called Queensland, Australia. It is a collaboration between Mitchell Feggans and Peter Thrupp which started officially in 2021.

Their debut release, The Tape Sessions, is a series of improvised performances that were recorded over a series of months, tracked live to a 4 track tape machine. The album meditates on the themes of decay and collapse, mirroring the eventual state of the recording medium of tape, as well as a reflection on the current state of the world.

Expressive, introspective and at times chaotic, Method Of Freedom will delight the ears of adventurous listeners.

This album was recorded, produced and mixed on the land of the Jagera and Turrbal people. Sovereignty was never ceded. Method Of Freedom supports Indigenous peoples in their fight for justice and self determination.
